I see it as a teaser more than a cliffhanger.

Not a bad story. Girl gets turned by a crazy wolf and is stuck in a insane mess with 3 alpha males. One who does not want her at all. The angst is a little much but gets along fairly well instead of dragging. Some gaps in story line that are confusing. I would have like it better if there was not the dreaded cliff hanger. I am not a huge fan of those for sure.

i love the start of this series. the main characters determination was beautifully entertaining, as she first tries to run off and then as she show just as much determination to prove the flaws in a system that abuses the weak and holds up the strong. i like that her flip in attitude just didn't happen out the blue and for no reason, we are shown her thought patterns and her reasoning. i found that this is what really sucked me in and made me love her character, she stood up for herself and others even when everyone else tried to stop her. i have always found that a main character will make or break a story for me and this leading lady made this series for me.

Overall I liked this book and am looking forward to the next in the series. The story is interesting and held my attention throughout. While characters grow as the story progresses there is still more room for development. It does end in a cliffhanger.

This wolf shifter book by M.H. Soars is loosely based on the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale. Amelia Redford is out in the woods at night looking for her grandmother's dog when she is attacked by a rogue wolf Shi that has invaded another pack's territory. She's rescued by three shifter brothers who all have an undeniable attraction to her. What unfolds next kept me reading non-stop!If you enjoy reading sexy shifter novels you will love this story. One warning - it's a cliffhanger, so plan to continue reading the upcoming books.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I must say that it was amazing!! My first leap into paranormal/fantasy stories involved wolf shifters so I definitely have a soft spot and love for them. The world building and character building were great and detailed. The pack hierarchy was frustrating to me since Red always seemed to suffer from it and her lack of knowledge of wolf life. I am interested to see where this story goes with the threat from the other pack, the hunters, and the revelation that Red is the Mother of Wolves.

The story was pretty good. I have to say that I am not a fan of stories that continue and end on such a sour note. It was a fairly well written book. But in all honesty, there was very little happiness in the entire book. No balance, so to speak. I read on hoping at least the end would leave off on a good note. But was disappointed. I do not believe I will read the next one.

I love the book but I don't like that you left me hanging without a book 2 or is their is a book 2 coming out. If their is when is it coming out? I have to know what happens with Red and her wolves.

David and I alone have written the books Buffettology, The Buffettology Workbook, The New Buffettology, The Tao of Warren Buffett, and Warren Buffett and the Interpretation of Financial Statements -- all on Warren's investment methods and all international best-sellers.

But what was sorely missing from the body of Warren Buffett literature was a book that addresses and discusses the brilliant way Warren has managed his life, his businesses, and the people who manage Berkshire Hathaway's 233,000 employees around the globe. Once upon a time there was a slightly nerdish young man by the name of Warren Buffett, who, at the age of twenty, was frightened to death to stand up in front of people and speak to them. Then he discovered Dale Carnegie's course on public speaking and it changed his life. Not only did he develop the courage and skill to speak in front of groups of people, he learned how to make friends and motivate people. Warren considers his Carnegie education a life-changing event and the most important diploma he has ever received.

Once Warren was comfortable with public speaking, he also became a devotee of Dale's philosophy on interacting with people. He read and reread Carnegie's book How to Win Friends and Influence People dozens of times, underlining it and memorizing entire passages. The book became his bible for dealing with people and one of the cornerstones of his management philosophy.

In criminology, for instance, he shows that high crime rates are seen as an expression of capitalist disintegration, and criminal behavior a covert expression of radical action. Indeed, in one area after another, Horowitz shows how this same formulaic thinking dominates the field, resulting in a crude reductionist view of contemporary social life. At a time when the world is moving closer to the free market and democratic norms, he concludes, such reductionist tendencies and ideological posturings are outmoded.
Horowitz offers an alternative. He urges a larger vision of the social sciences, one in which universities, granting agencies and research institutes provide an environment in which research may be untainted by partisan agencies--where policy choices will not be hindered by the prevailing cultural climate. He counsels sociologists to move away from blind advocacy, to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century by incorporating the knowledge of other times and places, and to take into account the shrinking globe--in short, to develop and maintain a new set of universal standards in this era of a world culture.
Here then is an eloquent plea for a revolution in sociology, written by one of the field's foremost figures. It offers as well a cautionary tale about the potentially devastating effect of ideology on scholarly pursuits.

After four decades in the profession, Rutgers sociologist Horowitz (Daydreams and Nightmares, 1990, etc.) looks in horror at the ideological grave into which he says his discipline has fallen, and attempts to resurrect the corpse before it rots away. Horowitz lays the blame for sociology's lamentable state at the feet of Marxist radicals, still shoving their worldview down the throats of college students even after the demise of Communism. Unyielding partisans such as these have polarized social science, Horowitz says, and their brand of left-wing fascism has taken sociology from the intellectual mainstream to a never-never land beyond the pale. This sort of tough talk turns to discussion of other, more reasonable, sectarian tendencies, such as those found in James S. Coleman's Foundations of Social Theory, with its espousal of a ``rational choice'' doctrine and its view of the individual as superior to the state. Envisioning social science as vital to the development of sound public policy, Horowitz makes an effort to reclaim it by advocating a return to first principles- -namely, a focus on the answers to social problems as revealed through research into everyday life, with sociology serving ``as a sensitizing agency for behavior.'' If sociology and other social sciences were given broader latitude and liberated from politics, they could become an educational link between a scientific and more traditional curriculum, creating a well-integrated culture, as well as a beacon to pierce the ideological darkness. They were big, unflattering and upon putting them on for the first time, my perception of gravity, that is, the experience of how my feet hit the pavement as I walked greatly changed and colors became for the first time robust right before my eyes!Reading “Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus” for those who are not Jewish such as myself, was like my depth perception being drastically changed when those eye glasses went on. Yet, like those robust colors that came to life, so it is, to know Jesus as a Jewish Rabbi.I recommend this book to Jews and Gentiles (non-Jewish people) alike. The vivid tapestry of His Jewishness is quite captivating and the Jewish culture and people who He was intimately acquainted with and surrounded by will both challenge and intrigue you.Like most books on the subject of God or Jesus of Nazareth, one reading will never suffice. The first reading is both engrossing and a bit of a struggle. Every other reading, will produce more and more affect to a desired conclusion—to know this Jewish Rabbi that still intrigues and confounds the world 2000 years later.

This book changed my perspective on a lot of things. I am an anthropologist and I know the importance culture plays in the perspectives and actions of people. But, if you don't understand a culture, you aren't going to understand the person...you will just be frustrated and confused and eventually settle on 'never understanding' them. But when you get a glimpse of the 'why' by exploring aspects of their native culture, light bulbs begin to illuminate your perspectives. This book does this very thing, but with the person and culture of Jesus the Messiah! Amazing! I would recommend this book to anyone, Christian or non-Christian. It has powerful and profound insights to many stunning realities of Jesus' actions and the correlations to ancient and modern Jewish culture. Read this! You'll benefit from it, I promise!

Well presented in a fashion that is accessible to ordinary readers. You do not need to be an academic to engage with the material. The writers of this book present fascinating insights into Jewish culture and language of Jesus time, and even middle Eastern culture that persists to this day - all of which informs our reading of the New Testament. Reading and interpreting the Bible from and Western, Industrialized, Educated, Rich and Democratic mindset will always bring questions that cannot be answered, and interpretations that are not really what Jesus meant. I highly recommend this book, and other books by Lois Tverberg.

I learned so much reading this book and it's follow up Walking in the dust of Rabbi Jesus which I unknowingly read first. I highly recommend reading both! I'm currently on a journey learning the true Hebrew meaning behind the Scriptures and these two books will give you greater and more in depth understanding of Jewish life and customs. Now I wanna go back and read Jesus words with the more Hebrew understanding I have learned.

Ann and Lois have crafted a one of a kind "Study Guide" for those of us who want to better understand the Bible and what Jesus was saying in the context of the times, and as a practicing Jew. He wasn't just a Rabbi, he was 'The Rabbi'. As the living word of God, his teachings were not an interpretation of the Bible, they were the exact meaning of the Bible. But unlike most books I've read on Biblical interpretation, this book is written from the standpoint of Jesus, as a Jew, practicing Judaism in his life 2,000 years ago.Do you know exactly what Jesus' words meant when he spoke to the multitude?
